Yet patience is a Diamond… But fire does not at all spare the person who goes completely silently surrendered towards devotion all his life. Facing one another daily is a natural test process in which you are in a continious business with nature and it is guided by beauty and strength. Silentium est aureum – often translated as silence is golden, or perhaps more aptly as silence is gold, is a phrase laden with ancient wisdom in a world severely in need of timeless assistance.

Everyone aspires to be happy in his life. Imam Ali (as) provides you with a nine-point canon to reach this goal thus:

قَوَاعِد الْسَّعَادَة الْتِسع لِأَمِير الْمُؤْمِنِيْن عَلِي عَلَيْه الْسَّلَام:
Nine rules for happiness by the Commander of the Faithful Ali :
أولاً: توكل على الله في السراء والضراء
FIRST: Rely on Allah when pleased and when grieved.

ثانياً: اتق الله في خلواتك و سفرك وحضرك
SECOND: Fear Allah when you are alone, when travelling and when at home.

It was the Feast of the New Year, the oldest and most splendid of all the feasts in the Kingdom of Persia, and the day had been spent by the king in the city of Schiraz, taking part in the magnificent spectacles prepared by his subjects to do honour to the festival. The sun was setting, and the monarch was about to give his court the signal to retire, when suddenly an Indian appeared before his throne, leading a horse richly harnessed, and looking in every respect exactly like a real one.

A fisherman with a wife and three children has a custom to throw out his nets four times a day, no more. One day he throws out his net, but can’t get it easily in. To avoid destroying het net he goes into the sea to bring the net and its contents to the shore. When he gets the on the shore he sees that he has caught an ass. Bewildered by this strange catch he prays to Allah to forgive him if he had done anything wrong and thanks Him for the dead ass. He throws his net a second time and gets a pitcher full of shreds broken glass and mud.

A man said to Imam al-Jawad [a], "Some of your opponents claim that the Caliph al-Ma’mun named your father 'ar-Rida' (the Accepted One) because he wanted him to be his crown prince."

The Imam [a] replied, "No, by Allah, they are liars. Allah named him ar-Rida because he was accepted by Allah in His Heavens, and he was accepted by His Prophet [s] and the Imams [a] that followed the Prophet on His Earth."
